Panthers Baseball Travel Team Hit Home Run
Published January 24th 2008
The 11 and Under Panthers Baseball Travel Team posted an incredible
37-9 record for the fall season and won two major tournaments in the
process- the Great 8 Invitation Only Tournament in Orlando and the
Christmas Bash in Hialeah. In addition, the Panthers were 7-0 in AAU
League play and 10-2 in Florida Premier League play. In the Hialeah
Christmas Bash hosted by the Miami Dynasty Elite, the Panthers went
5-0 and defeated the highly ranked West Pines Cobras in the final.
In October, the Panthers captured the Great 8 Championship in Orlando.
This Invitation Only Tournament hosted by the Florida Fire featured
four of the top teams from South Florida and four of the top teams
from Central Florida. This talented group practiced hard, played hard
and was very disciplined. The proud coaching staff consists of Manager
Greg Ernewein and Coaches Dean Brundage, Dave Carroll, and Kevin Conn.
The boys will now get a couple of weeks off and then get right back
at to practicing because the 2008 Spring Season is right around the
corner. The team shown in the photo are Front Row Left to Right: Brendan
Brundage, Chris Ernewein, Ryan Valek, Devin Conn, and Andres Matouk,
Middle Row Left to Right: Spencer Diaz, Zack Kone, Mitchell Carroll,
and Andrew Gottfried, Back Row Left to Right: Manager Greg Ernewein,
