Coral Springs Real Estate Broker Gives Away New Car

Bob Tenace, owner of Century21 Tenace Realty in Coral Springs, just gave away a new car.

Century21 Tenace Realty is the only South Florida realtor to have ever held a drawing for a new car. And this is not the first time- the company also gave one away last year.

Why would Tenace give away a fire-engine red 2008 Mini-Cooper?

“Very simple,” says owner Bob Tenace. “A drawing for a new car is a good vehicle–pardon the pun- for our agents to obtain names and numbers, and use them to generate new business. We all know that these are challenging times for the real estate market. And we believe that challenging times require creative approaches – whether we’re selling a home or whether we’re looking for new business.”

The contest actually started eight months ago and generated more than 3,000 entrants. Clients of Century21 Tenace Realty were automatically eligible. In addition, the company’s agents made sure that entry forms were available at local malls and shops, as well as offices where their clients worked.

It all came down to four finalists, two from Century21 Tenace’s Coral Springs office and two from the Boynton Beach office. The four finalists gathered at Tenace’s Coral Springs office for the final drawing, along with the firm’s agents and friends.

Challenging market or not, buying a home is still the American dream. And the four finalists – three of whom are clients – were truly a reflection of that dream. One young lady was an immigrant from Russia. Another came from Jamaica.

The Grand Prize winner was Joseph Kalayil.

“I was so nervous at the beginning,” Kalayil said. “I didn’t allow myself to believe I had a chance. But, now I’m still trying to believe it. It goes to show that anything can happen in America.”

Tenace is a bit of a “contrarian” in the current dismal real estate market. He believes, despite the headlines, that there are many good values out there – if people only knew where to look. And giving away a new car, he says, is one way to help them find out.

“Joseph is a client who’s listed two properties with us,” Tenace said. “It’s nice to see a smile on his face. And it’s nice to see our agents with a potential pool of 3,000 names.”
